Fishing Gear: Lakewood Net and Boat Protector

Lakewood Net and Boat Protector

Description and Application: Lakewood has created a simple convenience device that will save the clearcoat on your boat. Many net yokes have sharp edges and will scratch hands and boats when they get moved around and repositioned in between uses. The protector is made of durable neoprene that protects what it comes in contact with, but also it drains quickly and effectively. It secures easily thanks to a Velcro connection over the yoke, plus it features built-in padding.

Staff Perspective: Not only have I scratched the inside of my boat with nets, but I’ve stepped on them with bare feet or near cut my palms when rushing to the side of the boat for a net job. But I just figured that’s the way it was, Lakewood fixed the problem and in the long run the small investment will pay off big time. Easy decision here, plus it’s made in the USA, and I like that..
