In my first 3 casts I caught 2 small crappies around 8 or 9 inches. On my 6th cast I hooked into this one and right away knew it was big. At first I thought it was a bass, but then it came up to the surface and I saw it was a crappie. After I landed it, I yelled to my wife to bring the camera. She said she didn't have it. Thankfully there was another person there who had a cell phone. I would have hated to release the fish without getting a picture. Obviously this was the biggest fish I caught that night. The next biggest was around 10 and a half inches. Still it was a great night, with my largest ever crappie at 16.5".
