A recent trip to Canada produced not only my 51" 49 lbs Muskie...but also my trophy Pike. It was caught on an old favorite, Mepps Harasser, chartreuse with green and yellow trim. The fish was 44" long with a 25" girth...which calculates somewhere around 35lbs. The story for me is that it was yet again more icing on a cake that was already covered. The most exciting fishing trip I have ever been on, but had dreamed about for many many years. The best part is that I was able to experience all of this with my Father (at 77 yrs. old).
Thanks to In-Fisherman, who's tips led me to insist on top water lures for muskies on a dark tea stained lake, and concentrating on late summer weed beds during and after a very windy day.
