I took my wife out on her first ever muskie outing and we ended up catching a fish of a lifetime. We were trolling along and I stopped the boat because I thought one rod was fouled up. Well as I was reeling that rod in, I heard the drag scream from the other rod, picked it up and could tell something big was one. I reeled it in halfway and gave it to my wife and said she's all yours, I'll man the net. Then about 4 seconds after I gave her the rod the fish jumped 3' out of the water, headshaking and all! I gotta hand it to her, she kept the line tight and the tip up and steered her into the net after those acrobatics. Got a quick measure, pictures, and released her on her way. Now I just hope she doesn't expect this every time, I think someone just got spoiled with this giant muskie!
